COACHING SKILLS FOR FAMILY LIFE

FAMILY LIFE

Delivered to groups of parents and carers through a series of light-hearted and interactive workshops, the material covered gives people the chance to share ideas and experiences and to coach each other - as well as learn techniques and approaches to make positive changes to their parenting style.

It's not about parents being told what to do, Supernanny-style - it's about being given a dedicated space in which to think through your parenting context and choices. Using coaching techniques, we explore topics such as the emotional needs of children, how children develop confidence and self esteem, the power of attention, the role of praise, how children make sense of the world, the impact of labels, how to encourage positive behaviour, and more.

The course can be delivered as a regular series of evening or daytime workshops, or as longer half- or full-day sessions. It can also be used as a basis for 1-1 coaching with individual parents or carers. The sessions are relevant for those caring for children of any age and stage, from toddlers to teenagers, and can be formatted to fit parents and carers in all kinds of settings such as schools, communities and businesses.

Ultimately Coaching Skills for Family Life is designed to help parents recognise and enjoy both the responsibilities and privileges of raising the next generation, and to see the difference they can make in their children's lives.

AS PARENTS OR FAMILY MEMBERS INVOLVED IN RAISING CHILDREN, WE HAVE AN IMPORTANT ROLE TO FULFIL SO THAT THE NEXT GENERATION FLOURISHES AND THRIVES.

My Coaching Skills for Family Life workshops focus on the needs of both children and their parents/carers, and draw on established psychological and coaching models that are easy to understand and practically apply to family life.

FEEDBACK FROM PARENTS

The workshops have increased my self awareness, understanding and confidence as a parent

This has helped me remember to enjoy the journey

It's really helpful just to check in honestly with other parents
